108 Real Estate and STOW join forces for the first time: a joint event on warehousing trends

On Thursday evening, representatives of the real estate and logistics markets gathered at Revír Karlín for an event unlike anything 108 Real Estate had held before. Together with STOW Group, a European manufacturer of racking systems, the company hosted its very first joint event, called Warehousing trends a look at the current state of the warehouse market from the perspective of two companies that each see it differently.

108 Real Estate tracks the market through demand for warehouse space, measured in square metres. STOW, on the other hand, works from its own orders for racking systems, measured in euros. Placing both perspectives side by side for the same period produces a fuller picture of how the logistics and industrial real estate sector in the Czech Republic is currently performing though the organisers kept the specific figures for discussion on the night rather than for public release.

The evening wasn't just about data, though. Company representatives who have experienced the transformation of the warehouse market firsthand also took the floor. Mailstep spoke about its growth from a first-person perspective, while Famico described how the company has transformed in recent years, what that meant for its logistics, and the challenges and plans that lie ahead. Both presentations showed that behind the data and the metrics lie concrete operational decisions and often quite dramatic changes.

The event also had a celebratory side. STOW is marking 30 years on the Czech market this year, and the evening naturally turned into a celebration of that anniversary too with a toast dedicated to the company's three decades in the Czech Republic.

On behalf of 108 Real Estate, thanks go above all to STOW and Tomáš Horák for the courage to take on the first joint event of this kind, to all the presenters for openly sharing their real experiences, and last but not least.
