108 on the Water: We Supported Zlatá rybka at the Dragon Boat Races

On Wednesday, September 3, 2026, we traded our office for paddles. In Prague’s Podolí district, we participated as Team 108 REAL ESTATE in a charity race Dragon Boats for Zlatá rybka — a sports afternoon whose proceeds go toward supporting the dreams of seriously ill children.

What the event was about

The races were open to corporate teams from all over Prague. In addition to the training sessions and race heats themselves, participants enjoyed a supporting program, refreshments, and an evening gathering around a bonfire with live music. It wasn’t just a sporting competition—the main purpose of the event was to bring together companies, healthcare professionals, and individuals around a single idea: to help children whose lives are threatened or significantly limited by serious illness.

The Mission of Zlatá rybka

Zlatá rybka grants wishes to children aged 5 to 18 who are undergoing difficult medical treatment. Since its founding in 2015, it has granted more than 1,500 wishes—whether it’s meeting an idol, exploring a new place, or anything else that helps a child and their family forget the hospital environment for a while and recharge their strength. The organization places great emphasis on the families’ privacy—sharing their story is never a condition for receiving help.

How We Did

Our first paddle didn’t go well at all—everyone was paddling at their own pace, we weren’t functioning as a team, and we finished last. A break helped, and after a few minutes, we finally figured out how to work together. It turned out that the fastest way to improve our performance was to start listening to one another.

We paddled significantly better for the rest of the day and finished 4th out of 11 teams, and among mixed crews, we even finished 2nd

Why We Didn’t Miss Out

As a company, we strive to support projects that have a real and measurable impact on the lives of the people around us. Participating in Dragon Boat Races was an opportunity for us to bring our team together, experience a real adrenaline rush, and at the same time contribute to a good cause—literally, one boat at a time.
